Founded in 2016, Wydo helps entrepreneurs and researchers to further develop an innovative idea or promising scientific research into concrete applications or products.
Wydo is an independently operating corporate spin-off of the family-owned company Royal Van Wijhe Verf in Zwolle, which is committed to making the paint sector more sustainable. Through Wydo, the company also wants to make knowledge and expertise available to the manufacturing industry outside of the paint sector.
Vision on sustainable innovation
Sustainable innovation is the key word in everything Wydo does. We focus on R&D and innovation that contributes to achieving environmental and climate goals and conserving biodiversity.
Wydo likes to look for innovation in the research and application of renewable raw materials which enable producers to reduce the CO2 footprint of their operations.
Collaborations
Wydo is located in Groningen at the Zernike Campus. A conscious choice, because Groningen is a hotspot for the biobased economy and has excellent facilities and highly educated scientists. This means that the lines of communication with researchers from various fields are short and fast.
Wydo cooperates with several universities and knowledge institutes.
